Local artist, Elizabeth Fram, will be on hand in person and on the gallery walls at Seminary Art Center from mid-April through early May.  Elizabeth layers color and texture into her designs to create textile collage that is inspired by the details in the interactions and images that surround our everyday lives.

Elizabeth is an artist who blends her experience in printmaking, pastels, photography and graphic design into her textile explorations to produce pieces that are layered in diverse materials, technique, texture and color.  Elizabeth’s work has been exhibited extensively around Vermont and nation-wide. A graduate of Middlebury College, Elizabeth currently lives and works in Waterbury Center and can often be found lending her time, talents and creativity to various community and arts related projects in our region.

An opening reception for “Reading Between the Lines” will be held with Elizabeth at Seminary Art Center, on Friday, April 19th from 7-8:30 pm.  Elizabeth will return to the center on Friday, April 26th from 7-8:00 pm for a slideshow and discussion of her work.

"As I move through my day, I spend a lot of time paying attention to details.  Fleeting moments, interactions or images, which might ordinarily be overlooked in the midst of ones regular routine, somehow strike me as significant. Exploring these ideas and making them concrete visually are the basis of my work. I think of this as reading between the lines of everyday life.”  Elizabeth Fram, 2013
