Gallery Shows

Seminary Art  Center regularly hosts Vermont based artists in the historic Green Mountain Seminary Building.  Hardwood floors, stunning natural light and pale walls make this an ideal space to show and view art.

Local Vermont Artist

Waterbury based artist, Elizabeth Fram, will be on hand in person and on the gallery walls at Seminary Art Center from mid-April through early May.  Elizabeth layers color and texture into her designs to create textile collage that is inspired by details in the interactions and images that surround our everyday lives.

APRIL 19 - MAY 10, 2013

"As I move through my day, I spend a lot of time paying attention to details. Fleeting moments, interactions or images, which might ordinarily be overlooked in the midst of one╩╝s regular routine, somehow strike me as significant. It could be the way the color of a fallen leaf contrasts with the shimmer of a wet stone, or the idea of how we are affected by and adapt to the changes that come with time. Even the interaction of shapes created through an elongated shadow speak abstractly to the relationship of the figures casting the shadow, as well as to the shapes themselves. Exploring these ideas and making them concrete visually are the basis of my work. I think of this as reading between the lines of everyday life."
